Get Involved
Nu Xi Zeta provides many opportunities for chapter members to get involved and make a difference. Utilize your interests and unique skills by serving on a committee.
Scholarship – Work with the National Education Foundation and enhance the chapter’s scholarship awards to Alexandria youth.
Fundraising – Plan signature fundraising events that benefit our scholarship and other community organizations.
Conference – Promote state, regional, and national conference attendance. Manage delegate subsidy process; while meeting ad and amendments deadlines.
Hospitality – Prepare and present food and decorations for chapter events. Maintain an inventory of paper goods, utensils etc., in good condition. Support other committee events with food preparation.
Membership – Manage intake, retention, and reclamation of Sorors. Conduct embellishment activities that forge sisterly bonds.
Service – Implement and plan community service programs. Maintain relationships with community organizations, look for opportunities to partner, maintain records on Z-HOPE participation for recognition nationally, regionally, and on the state level.
Z-HOPE – Implement and plan Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) programs in the Alexandria, Virginia community.
Social Action – Promote political activism and community involvement in the government and legislative process.
Publicity – Promote NXZ/Zeta events to the media to encourage press coverage via phone calls, emails, and some in-person meetings with the press.
Youth – Develop a framework for how the chapter can implement a youth group.
