Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) is an interactive, holistic and multidimensional
outreach service initiative designed to enhance, cultivate and empower participants to
develop health promoting lifestyle choices across the lifespan. Z-HOPE is one of the
newest initiatives introduced by the Sorority and has been implemented by the Nu Xi
Zeta chapter with great enthusiasm.

The Chapter has also adopted Community Lodgings, a low income, transition housing area
whose mission is to  lift families from a state of instability and homelessness to
independence and self-sufficiency through provision of Affordable Housing, 
Transitional Housing and the Fifer Family Learning Center. The Chapter holds monthly
seminars for the residents on topics such as professional development, resume writing,
skin and health care, and parenting skills.

The Chapter annually participates in WalkAmerica, raising funds to educate and
hopefully find a cure for premature birth. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn
death. It has reached epidemic proportions in the U.S., endangering the lives of more
than half a million babies.

While we focus much of our energy on service initiatives, Nu Xi Zeta conducts a myriad
